MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The string of mainly sunny days will extend into Friday, and perhaps the weekend as well.  As the current high-pressure system repositions itself in the western Atlantic, local winds will shift and become more easterly overnight.  This change won't have a big impact on temperatures trends, as we'll still fall into the 40s for lows.  The highs for Friday will likely surpass 70° and rise farther above average over the weekend with an upper high scooting over the Gulf region.  Winds will become more southerly late tomorrow, which will create scattered cloudiness over the weekend and keep readings climbing.  The moisture increase will eventually clash with a disturbance by Tuesday to raise the rain and storm chances.  Another cool snap will follow the rain activity around midweek.
