MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Today's late-day and evening showers and storms will focus on the Interstate 10 corridor and points to the south, as east and northeast winds clash with the local seabreeze. A few minor impulses may cause a quick flare-up in rain intensity and wind gusts with some of the stronger storms, but cases of severe weather will be fewer in number for the night ahead. Scattered clouds and breaks of clear sky will accompany lows in the upper 60s to near 70°. Rain chances for Friday through the weekend will be limited to about 30% of the area, and mainly dependent on the seabreeze and effects from the afternoon heating. Highs will be slightly higher, in the low and possibly mid 90s. We will be in a fairly steady pattern of warmth, moisture, and scattered daytime thunderstorms as a nearby tropical moisture source, for now, appears to have minimal impacts on local rain development into early next week.
