Storm Team Thursday evening forecast (07/30/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The return of the tropical moisture is going to be gradual leading into the weekend, but it will be more noticeable in the form of extra clouds in the afternoon, and a slightly better chance for a shower or storm developing Friday.  Overall rain coverage should remain a bit on the low side, about 20% to 30%, and the morning will again start with below-average temperatures in the upper 60s.  Highs will reach the mid 90s away from the coast, but the southwest wind by afternoon will help to force the moisture back into the region.  Heftier batches of moisture from the southeast will slide into our region and mix with a disturbed upper-level trend in the Deep South to make shower and storm action easier to achieve over the weekend through the first portion of next week.  The tropical disturbance nearing the Lesser Antilles will still struggle to obtain tropical depression strength, but will keep moving west-northwest toward the Windward Islands and near Hispaniola through Friday.
