TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A cold front will continue to slowly approach our region through tonight and tomorrow. This front has scattered showers ahead of it and more widespread rain behind it. As previously mentioned, it has been moving slow, and will continue to do so as it tries to pass us. Depending on where the front is positioned in the region will depend on just how warm Monday's high will become. Rain is likely for the western half of the viewing area both tonight and Monday.
Tonight, expect cloudy conditions and areas of patchy fog. Rumbles of thunder are possible as periodic rain showers move through the area. Winds will be mainly from the north at 5-10 mph.
Monday, will be cool for some thanks to the very cloudy skies and northerly winds at 10 mph. Temps will range from the mid 50s in Southwest Georgia to the mid and upper 60s in the Suwannee Valley. The difference in daytime highs is due to the previously mentioned cold front slowly moving past the area. While the highest chance for rain is in the west and northwestern portions of the regions, we cannot completely rule out a passing shower for the eastern counties.
By Tuesday, the front is expected to have moved past the area, giving us more uniform highs near 60 degrees. A light passing shower is possible not only for Tuesday, but also through much of the week.
