TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- It's time to dig out those umbrellas! The major storm system we've been talking about for the last few days is continuing to inch closer to us. Beginning later tonight, we'll start seeing some of the rain and maybe even a thunderstorm or two. The wet weather is expected to continue through Tuesday afternoon. At this time, it looks like some areas could see up to 1.5 inches of rain between Sunday night and Monday night.

Tonight, lows will stay unseasonably warm, cooling to the mid 60s. Winds will stay southerly at 5-10 mph and our skies will be overcast. As previously mentioned, rain and a few thunderstorms are possible, especially in the wee morning hours of Monday.

Speaking of Monday, your work week will be off to a wet start. you'll want to give yourself extra travel time to and from as roads will be wet and rain may be heavy at times. (At this time, there is a VERY small chance of seeing severe storms on Monday, but it cannot be ruled out.) Between the showers and thunderstorms, skies will be overcast, much like we saw Sunday. Highs will stay in the mid 70s for most. Monday night will end with showers and some rumbles of thunder with overnight lows in the upper 60s.
