MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Beautiful & sunny are the perfect ways to describe the weather across the area today! Winds out of the north are helping to reel in drier & more comfortable conditions across the Big Bend & southern Georgia. This trend looks to continue into tomorrow with a slight change. A weak cold front will move in from the northwest tomorrow, increasing rain coverage in the afternoon, but the rain looks to be short-lived, and then the cooler, drier pattern will re-emerge into the rest of the work week. Forecast highs for Monday will be in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 60s with lower 60s in some spots. The temps will be slightly below average for the extended period as high pressure in the northeast U.S. builds in the midweek and winds will continue to blow from the east/northeast (a cooler, and slightly drier source). Rain coverage will be low, but it looks as if coverage will increase toward the weekend as an upper level disturbance is forecast to pull in some moisture in the Gulf. There are no tropical threats in the Atlantic. Have a great Sunday!
