MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Conditions remain hotter than average for the end of the weekend. Monday looks no different as we move into the new month. Changes will be quick to occur as a frontal system out west approaches the area. This front will interact with the sea breeze helping to enhance showers and thunderstorm chances through Tuesday. Expect Monday afternoon highs to still be significantly warm, with highs in the upper 80s and rain coverage around 30%. Tuesday highs will range in the lower to mid 80s with more cloud cover moving in. Thunderstorms become more likely on Tuesday (50%) with heavy rainfall possible.
After Wednesday morning, cooler and drier air will move in, keeping afternoon highs at or below average (mid 80s) with lows back in the 50s.
