MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The end of the month is warm and mild  and February starts off in a similar manner. High pressure in the Atlantic will continue to guide humid winds from the Gulf of Mexico, helping to keep clouds across the region. As a storm system in the Pacific Southwest continues to intensify and push east toward our region, rain chances and coverage grow.

Monday morning lows will range in the upper 40s to mid 50s for the local area with 70s likely all across the Big Bend and South Georgia. Low 70s will likely be the highest these temperatures climb, though with less cloud cover, they can be a tad bit warmer. Rain coverage Monday and Tuesday remain minimal (<20%) with highs even warmer Tuesday (mid to upper 70s).

Tuesday night into Wednesday features the beginning of a much wetter pattern as a cold front pushes through. Rain coverage will jump to nearly 60-70% Wednesday and early Thursday. After Thursday morning, temperatures will begin to drop as cold air surges in behind the front. The work week will likely end with morning lows in the 30s and highs around 60 degrees.
