Storm Team Sunday Evening forecast (06/09/2013)

and last updated

Rain is popping up around the north Florida and south Georgia due to a weak disturbance to the southwest of us in the Gulf of Mexico. Throughout the course of the evening the disturbance will move NE and bring us some more showers especially in western areas. Due to high moisture content in the lower levels of the atmosphere there is a chance for localized heavy downpours but the threat for any of the storms turning severe is very low. Southeastern areas near the Big Bend have a lower chance for rain since they are farther away from the disturbance. Tonight temperatures will fall down into the lower 70 with mostly cloudy skies. The atmosphere is very juicy with moisture which will keep rain chances moderately high for tomorrow as well. (about a 60% chance across the region) Highs tomorrow will be back to approaching 90 degrees and will continue to increase throughout the work week.

Happy Sunday to all!
