MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The high pressure cell over the Gulf will stay nearby and guide winds once again from the west, heating things up for this Monday. Northwest winds for the western half of the region may help to heat things up even further. But overall, winds in the afternoon will turn from the southwest and that will help enhance the sea breeze to kick in further inland. Monday lows are forecast to be in the mid 70s. Afternoon temperatures will once again range in the mid to upper 90s inland with lower to mid 90s along the coast. Shower and thunderstorm coverage will range in the 50% range and drop to 40% after Monday with daytime highs along the way forecast to be in the mid 90s. Upper 90s look less likely for the end of the week as the ridge of high pressure looks to finally break down somewhat and allow for more rain coverage for the region.
