TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Staying quiet heading into the overnight hours. We may see some patchy fog around the region as winds go relatively light tonight, so take it easy on your Monday morning commute. Temps only dip into the low 60s tonight. Temps on your Monday rebound similar to Sunday into the mid 80s inland, upper 70s near the Gulf coast. But the difference is, it'll be noticeably more humid as our next frontal system advances towards the Deep South. That instability could spark some scattered storms into the afternoon especially towards the Suwannee River Valley and South-Central Georgia. By Monday night and early Tuesday, a line of aggressive storms could bring some high wind gusts and heavy downpours. 2" of new rainfall on already saturated ground is expected around the entire area. In Southern Alabama, Flash Flood Watches are already in effect in anticipation of this active weather pattern. Temps Monday night stay toasty in the mid 60s while on Tuesday, the rain-cooled atmosphere will only allow temps to get into the mid 70s. The active weather pattern continues through the 7-day time frame, and a summery set up is expected late week with afternoon pop-up thunderstorms possible.
