MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- May has been a hot month and it is likely that this trend will continue. Tonight will feature a repeat of Saturday night with overnight temps around 70 degrees, coupled with daytime highs around 90 degrees for Memorial Day. Rain coverage will jump to 40% on the holiday as high pressure at the surface pushes into the Atlantic and forces winds to filter in from the southeast, allowing more clouds and therefore more moisture. From Tuesday onward, the temperature trend is forecast not to change much, except for more rain possible as a frontal system makes its way in from the west. The front will help reinforce winds from the south and that will keep dew points modest. Rain coverage is expected to be around 40-50% through Thursday. Once again, afternoon highs aren't expected to vary much, staying around 90 degrees through next weekend.
