TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- A weak cold front near the Appalachian mountains and the local sea breeze is creating storms this afternoon that will begin to dissipate in the overnight hours. The front will slowly make its way south tomorrow, which will create higher rain coverage in the 40%-50% range. Highs for Monday will be in the mid 90s with heat indices in the low 100s. The cold front will continue to move closer on Tuesday as well creating more scattered storms during the afternoon and highs in the mid 90s. By Wednesday a drier trend is expected so rain coverage will be minimal and highs will become more seasonable in the lower 90s.
