The oppressive heat continues as temperatures reach into the mid 90's today. As we move into the evening hours expect the high humidity values to be the big story. In addition, the temperature will drop to mid 70's while dropping a few more degrees in the more inland counties. Expect tomorrow though to be almost a carbon copy of today, as rain chances remain rather low with temperatures soaring into the mid to upper 90's by the afternoon. Associated with the heat will be dew points in the mid 70's, allowing for heat indices to reach the low 100's in many locations, so remember to hydrate well. However, by the middle of the work week expect rain chances to climb back up to the 50% mark. This will be due to the high pressure system currently over us subsiding and allowing for a more typical summer like pattern to return to the region.
