MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Summer is in full effect, and even though rain will be more likely heading into the new work week, the heat will still be on. Overnight lows are expected to be in the lower 70s. Monday's highs are forecast to reach near the mid 90s with the sea breeze and a nearby disturbance helping to promote scattered showers in the afternoon. A cold front from the northwest will approach the region by midweek, allowing an elevated chance of rain by then. After midweek, the front is forecast to slowly push away and allow more sun with highs still above 90 degrees.
Meteorologist Max Tsaparis will have more on your work week forecast Monday at 5 a.m. on WTXL Sunrise.
