MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The transition to more possible showers and storms begins on Monday as a nearby front out west slowly pushes east into the Florida Panhandle. The instability this front will provide can help spark up showers and storms, though the available moisture to work with, does not support widespread activity. Rain coverage is around 20%-30%, with the highest probability for North Florida's Big Bend coast. The front will likely stall through midweek with 30% coverage on Tuesday, but with available moisture low, rain coverage will likely stay minimal (20%) from Wednesday through Friday.

Overnight lows into Monday morning will likely dip into the upper 60s across the region with some lower 70s. Monday afternoon highs will likely reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees. Lower 90s will be more likely out east, where there will likely be more sun than clouds. Tuesday morning will feature a more warm set up with lows around 70 degrees but the afternoon may struggle to see 90s with more clouds possible and rainfall possibly helping to keep temps in the upper 80s.

After midweek, the temps look likely to drop to at or just below average for lows (mid 60s) and highs (mid 80s). Rain coverage will, once again, look minimal, but depending on the placement of an upper level disturbance to our north by the end of the work week, that can change.
