MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Very cold temperatures were seen across the region for Sunday morning with upper 20s stretching from South Georgia all the way down to the coast with sites like Apalachicola seeing temperatures below 30 degrees. Another Freeze Warning has been issued for Monday morning, but it does not include the Big Bend coast, as well as Echols & Clinch counties.
Lows will range in the upper 20s to below 32 degrees for Monday morning, but the movement of high pressure over our region will drive winds from the south, warming the region with highs expected to be in the mid to upper 60s.
This south wind will raise warmth and moisture ahead of a Wednesday cold front with Tuesday morning lows forecast to be in the 40s and highs at or above 70 degrees. Some showers may be experienced Tuesday night (<20%). Wednesday will feature the wetter afternoon with 60% rain coverage and highs likely in the lower 60s with mostly cloudy skies. Another cool down is expected from Thursday through Friday.
