MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- It is the last day of August and our weather pattern hasn't really changed much. High pressure is building in to our north and east and it will help to pull winds from the east/south for today into next week and that will keep the humidity levels up and the rain chances moderate. Labor Day will look to repeat with highs across northern Florida and southern Georgia in the mid to upper 90s; lows will be in the lower to mid 70s. Rain coverage is forecast to be at 30%. The type of storms expected will be widely scattered storms that can produce lightning so make sure you move your Labor Day barbecue indoors if you see a storm move your way. The rain coverage throughout the week looks to be around normal at 40% after Labor Day. Highs this next week will be in the mid 90s until Friday and next weekend, when coverage is expected to climb to 50% as some moisture from the Atlantic will move in. Highs are expected to be in the lower 90s near average during that time.
