MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A lingering front associated with what is now Post-Tropical Cyclone Hermine will continue to stay nearby over the coast, providing for a chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday.
As we move into Labor Day, lows are forecast to start off in the upper 60s to lower 70s across the board. Daytime highs will likely rise to the upper 80s and lower 90s. Rain coverage on Monday will be at 30% as the front moves south and weakens. As the front moves away, high pressure will help drive in winds from the northeast, and with the added influence of Hermine, the air mass should start to dry off considerably. Morning lows on Tuesday are forecast to stay below 70 with some spots possibly seeing the mid 60s. Afternoon heat will return with similar numbers from Monday, with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
Wednesday into Thursday, the dry air sticks around, but into Friday, the moisture is expected to return, with morning lows and daytime highs back above average by a few degrees.
