MIDWAY, FL (WTXL) -- Another pleasant day today with plenty of sun and a few afternoon clouds. Though light, our winds are coming in from the northeast now, bringing a little extra moisture to the area. A stationary draped over central Florida is still expected to edge closer to us. This, in addition to the northeasterly winds, will increase our rain chances on Monday.
Our work week begins with a partly cloudy sky and light winds from the north east. There is a 30% chance of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Highs will remain warm and above average, topping off in near 90 degrees. Typically, we see highs in the mid 80s for this time of year. Monday night will be partly cloudy with fairly calm winds. Lows drop to the mid 60s, only a few degrees above normal.
Tuesday will be similar to Monday. We'll see partly cloudy skies, a light northeast wind, and a 20% chance of rain and thunderstorms in the second half of the day. Daytime highs warm to the upper 80s while overnight lows are back in the mid and upper 60s.
