Storm Team Sunday evening forecast (08/09/2015)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- A mainly clear afternoon was observed for Sunday, but a few showers/storms popped up as the afternoon progressed. This pattern will likely repeat on Monday. Nearby high pressure will keep the area warmer and clearer. But still, the sea breeze can help to fire up more storms tomorrow. Coverage will be low (20%). Overnight lows tonight are forecast to be in the lower to mid 70s with daytime highs tomorrow likely in the mid to upper 90s. As we push into Tuesday and Wednesday, rain opportunities will increase. A new front will push into the region by midweek, pulling in more storms and instability can allow for a few to be strong or even severe. High temperatures will likely drop to the lower 90s from Wednesday through the weekend, as rain coverage stays above average due to the front likely stalling over our region.
