Showers and thunderstorms this morning have given way to sunny skies and warmer temperatures, a pattern that will continue into Martin Luther King Day tomorrow. Highs across the area will approach the mid to high 60’s, and skies will remain mainly cloud-free. A dry, weak front will pass the area on Tuesday, bringing with it a few clouds and a blast of much colder air. Low temperatures Wednesday morning will be below freezing for most of the forecast area away from the coast, and a hard freeze will be a possibility in our south Georgia counties. Temperatures will remain chilly Wednesday and Thursday, with a slight warm up by the end of the week. The work week will remain rain-free, with slight rain chances returning Sunday a weak front approaches.
