TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- After a warm Sunday, things are only going to get hotter and stickier heading into the next work week. Luckily, even though we got into the upper 80s on your Sunday, the dew point--or the measure of how much moisture is in the air--was very low, so it was a dry heat that we were experiencing. Monday, I think we skim that 90° mark for the first time this year, though again it will be a dry heat, not very oppressive. Conditions don't become more humid until late Tuesday into Wednesday where the winds shift from the Gulf of Mexico and we usher in more moisture. Even then, our rain chances are shunted by the fact that high pressure is in control, and stable conditions prevail. This dry, hot trend continues until next weekend where we finally could spring a couple pop up storms just before Mother's Day.
