MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Clouds have been moving out of our hair as high pressure sets in to the northeast and begins to dominate the weather pattern. The high will limit the rain associated with the nearby low pressure system to the east of Florida and keep us dry & clear. This clearing will help drop out lows a bit more to the lower 40s for Sunday night into Monday morning. But expect a warm-up back to near mid-70s for the beginning of the work week through Wednesday with tons of sun. On Thursday a cold front threatens with slight rain coverage (20%) and after it pushes through on Friday, lows are forecast to drop back near 40 degrees. The front will be potent for states to the north and west as it pulls in a strong arctic air mass to the south and drop lows to near record values for areas in the Midwest but for us folks in North Florida and South Georgia, upper 30s to lower 40s are forecast.
