MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Clouds have been continuing to increase in number all across the Big Bend and South Georgia as our next cold front approaches from the west. The front will bring a gloomy day with it for our Monday with a ton of cloud cover and thunderstorms (80% coverage of rain). We are under a slight threat for some severe weather during tomorrow with the main threats being strong, gusty winds and isolated tornadoes. The clouds will keep temps from changing to much throughout the morning and afternoon with lows in the lower 60s and highs in the lower 70s.
Late into Monday evening, however, the big change will happen. That change, being a drastic drop in temperatures. Lows for Monday night will drop back to near freezing values and then on Tuesday night, lows will drop to the 20s. A Hard Freeze is likely during this period as temperatures will likely be below 26 degrees for at least two hours. Highs over this period will be in the lower to mid 50s. After Thursday, a slow but steady moderating trend will kick up with highs climbing back into the lower 70s and lows in the upper 40s.
