MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Clouds increase ahead of an approaching cold front that is continuing to wreak havoc along portions of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and surrounding states. That cold front has spawned warnings tornadoes, severe storms, and flash floods. Some of that energy will move into the area Monday and Monday night.

Currently, western portions of the area, (specifically a line from Calhoun, Jackson counties extending east into portions of Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, Seminole, Miller, Decatur, Baker counties) are in a Marginal Risk for severe weather for Monday. The main threats include strong winds, heavy rains at time, and even an isolated tornado. Elsewhere the majority of the region will see an increase of cloud cover and winds. Lows Monday will range in the mid to upper 60s and afternoon highs will range in the low to mid 70s. Rain coverage will range from 40-50%, increasing as we move into the evening hours.

The rain is forecast to continue through at least Thursday with a cool down expected by Friday into the weekend.
