Storm Team Sunday evening forecast (09/07/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- It was a very active day across the area, mainly focused on Southwest and South Central Georgia with not only flood warnings but a few severe warnings as well. A frontal boundary is stalling out to our northwest and that will continue to provide lift in the atmosphere as well as pull winds out of the Gulf of Mexico. The amount of moisture in the atmosphere is large enough for even small storms to provide locally heavy rainfall in short amounts of time. Expect rain coverage to be above average yet again for Monday with corresponding highs in the lower 90s across the Big Bend as the weather pattern continues. For the next few days rain coverage will be around average with a bit of drier air in the mid week with coverage at 30% for Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will still be above average in the low to mid 90s across the week. As next weekend approaches, a front will be pushing to our area, helping to increase rain coverage for the weekend.
