Storm Team Saturday evening forecast (09/06/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The weather today consisted of locally heavy rainfall in some spots as numerous scattered thunderstorms moved in from the northwest today. The Suwannee River Valley remained rather clear with little rainfall. Rain action is still possible into the night time hours and will increase once again to near 60% coverage for Sunday. Highs across the week will still be rather warm with some sunshine expected to put them in the low to mid 90s. The weather pattern consists of a slow moving front across the Mississippi River Valley advancing toward our region. The front will stall out, but that front along with an upper level disturbance across the southeast U.S. will help to create enough instability to fuel the chance of showers and thunderstorms all next week. The greatest coverage is expected Sunday-Monday but the chance will persist.
