TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- After a stormy afternoon, quieter conditions are expected to return Saturday night and stay for a few days. A low pressure system has been moving across the area over the last 24 hours. Behind this low pressure system is an area of high pressure. This high pressure will continue to strengthen as we move into the next work week. This means skies will stay mostly sunny with some afternoon clouds and daytime highs will be warmer than average.
Tonight, rain chances will continue to dwindle away to nothing, leaving us with partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will feel almost seasonal, in the lower 60s, with a light wind from the west to northwest at about 5 mph.
Mother's Day will start off with partly cloudy skies in the morning, but quickly give way to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon hours. Winds will be light from the northeast with daytime highs in the upper 80s. Sunday night will clear and calm with overnight lows falling close to 60 degrees.
