MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The high coverage of rain we've been seeing for the past several days has let off somewhat, and we've seen more sunshine, especially near the tri-state region. Into the remainder of the Holiday weekend and beyond, it will be somewhat drier, but rain will be possible each and every day. Morning lows into Sunday will be slightly above average, with temperatures expected to be in the mid 70s. Afternoon highs are forecast to jump to the low to mid 90s with scattered storms developing off the sea breeze. This pattern will only intensify into the holiday with hotter afternoon highs (mid to upper 90s) and heat index values surpassing 100 degrees! Rain coverage will mainly come from the sea breeze each and every day, but high pressure in the upper levels will help keep the action isolated to scattered. 30% coverage is expected through next weekend.
