TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The first round of storms is working it's way out of the area. With this, we saw plenty of lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds. A second round of storms is expected to arrive later this evening. These storms have the potential to become severe, just as we saw earlier today. The third and final round of rain is expected to arrive early Sunday morning. With the next rounds of rain, we can expect gusty winds at times, heavy rain, and even some thunder and lightning, just like we've already seen. We cannot rule out the possibility of a tornado either. This isn't meant to scare you, but it is something that we are keeping an eye on and will inform you as needed.
Tonight, the rain and storms will continue periodically with overnight lows falling to the mid 60s. Winds will be southerly at 5-10 mph, but could have occasionally stronger gusts.
Sunday will start with more rain and storms. This will likely last into the early afternoon, but should quiet down by early evening. There is a chance that some showers will return Sunday night into Monday morning. Sunday will warm to the lower to mid 70s for most with lows in the lower 50s. Winds will stay southerly for the most part at 10-15 mph with gusts near 25 mph.
As always, we will continue to give updates as needed throughout these storms.
