MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Storms have fired up across the Big Bend this afternoon with spotty activity across the region. The pattern of increased storminess will continue through the weekend into the beginning of the work week with chances of rain climbing to 50-60% through Wednesday as winds will move from the southwest. This pattern will continue due to a trough of low pressure helping to pull in the moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Temperatures, however, will still be above average, ranging in the mid to upper 90s inland. The flow from the Gulf continues into the night as well so lows will be in the mid 70s with humid conditions expected. Wednesday and Thursday show little change as this trough stalls across our area. The boundary will provide a good means of lift for more showers and thunderstorms so the rain chance persists all throughout next week. There are no active tropical threats in the Atlantic and nothing expected to develop within the next 48 hours...
