Storm Team Saturday evening forecast (09/27/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The consistent pattern over the late work week has continued with mostly cloudy conditions again for our Saturday. Why? Because there is flow from the Atlantic Ocean helping to provide the atmosphere with moisture. Plus, an upper level disturbance is developing over the central Gulf of Mexico. The amount of moisture in the atmosphere will help to fuel storms that can produce locally heavy rainfall. Because of this, a FLASH FLOOD WATCH has been issued for the Big Bend into Sunday evening. Expect a few peaks of sunshine, but overall, tomorrow looks to be gloomy. Highs will be in the mid 80s  with lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s across northern Florida & southern Georgia. Winds out of the east and south will keep moisture in place with a 60% coverage of rainfall for northern Florida. Southern Georgia is in the threat for rainfall, but the likelihood of heavy rain is primarily for the southwestern Big Bend. As we move into our next work week, temperatures stay in the mid to upper 80s with drier conditions in place. A cold front is forecast to move close to our region by next weekend, possibly helping to cool us down a bit more.
