MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The lingering effects of a cold front out west are being felt across the region with the extensive cloudiness experienced early on Saturday morning. The front won't push through until Sunday but the bulk of the rain will be to our north so no rain is expected for the region on Sunday with limited cloudiness throughout the afternoon, though some might build in on the evening. With the extensive sunshine expected, highs are expected to reach the lower to mid 80s for interior sections across North Florida and South Georgia with mid to upper 70s for highs near the coast. Winds will be out of the north/northwest for the afternoon, which would normally cool us during Winter, but the air mass is not as cold as previous ones, therefore, the cooling during the day wont occur, though the breeziness will help those who like the cooler feel. The work week will be cooler as we begin to see temperatures dip to near 50 degrees for lows on Monday and Tuesday as clear conditions are expected then and the winds will calm down somewhat at night, but during the days, highs will still be able to warm up to the upper 70s to even near 80 degrees once again with the daytime heating. Rain coverage isn't expected again until Wednesday when another disturbance out west rolls through, and even then coverage looks minimal (at around 20%).
