MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A cold front is approaching from the northwest and it will help pull winds from the southwest, adding more moisture to the region and helping to support more shower and thunderstorm activity for the next day or so.
Sunday morning is forecast to start off mild with lows in the low to mid 70s. As we progress to the afternoon, the cold front pushes closer and it will help bring more rain and clouds to the picture. Highs may be limited where there is more cloud cover and rain activity, with temps in the upper 80s. The further east you live, especially near I-75 and east, temps will have a greater chance of reaching 90 degrees or higher. Rain coverage overall is around 50%.
Sunday night, into Monday morning, clouds may stick around with lows forecast to be in the low to mid 70s. Highs are expected to range in the upper 80s to lower 90s again. Rain coverage is expected to be around 40%.
The new work week may feature more drying, but a nearby disturbance in the Atlantic may help provide more shower chances.
