TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The rain has returned to start the weekend with accumulation of around 1-2 inches around our western zones. This is due to another trough digging into the eastern U.S. which is causing another frontal system to impact our area. It will bring more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, keeping our rain chances above 50% through Tuesday. For Sunday, the forecast highs will be in the upper 80s due to the larger amount of cloud cover with rain chances around 70%. The cloud cover in this period and the increased rainfall will make it harder for highs to reach 90 degrees through Tuesday. Once Wednesday arrives, we will once again return to a seasonal summer-time pattern with highs in the lower-to-mid 90s and rain chances around 30%. This is due to drying out in the atmosphere with our main source of moisture being sea-breeze showers and/or thunderstorms.
