MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The rainfall has taken its time to appear tonight, mainly in our eastern zones. The rainfall will appear more numerous with scattered showers and thunderstorms for the end of the weekend into the beginning of the new work week with 50-60% coverage through Tuesday. This is due to moisture in the upper levels and a tropical wave in the western Atlantic providing enough fuel for those showers. Sunday's high is forecast to be 93 along Tallahassee, but could be cooler due to the rainfall chances being relatively high. After Tuesday, a more seasonal outlook emerges with rain chances varying from 30-40% coverage mainly due to the sea breeze across the region, but warmer conditions are expected near the end of the week with highs in the mid 90s across inland areas.
