MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- South winds coming in from the Gulf of Mexico guided by high pressure will allow for ample warming for the next couple of days.

Overnight lows into Sunday morning are forecast to drop into the low to mid 40s across the region with the warmest morning lows along the coast. The south winds continue into the afternoon, warming the region to highs in the lower 70s. Monday and Tuesday will likely be even warmer with highs climbing to near 80 by Tuesday and lows climbing to the 50s. Rain coverage slowly climbs with minimal coverage Monday (<20%) and low coverage Tuesday (30%).

Wednesday will likely be the wettest day with thunderstorms possible as a cold front moves in to the region. For now, there is a low end threat for strong storms, but that threat will have to be monitored for the next couple of days. After that, a significant cool down is expected with lows back into the 30s by next weekend.
