MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Warm and sunny conditions to start the new week. A frontal system is expected to be at our doorstep by midweek. After that, cooler air is forecast to return.

Monday, temperatures are mild to start, with lows in the lower 60s. In the afternoon, highs are expected to stay in the lower to mid 70s with mainly clear skies. Rain is not expected. It will be another pattern of above average temperatures (Avg high: 67°. Avg low: 41°).

Your Marine Forecast is available below. Offshore waters will have seas around 2-3 feet. Details below:

Onshore conditions:

Tide Times for Monday are available below:

Tuesday will warm up after a relatively cooler morning. Temperatures will be in the lower 50s (which is still above average for this time of year). Daytime highs will likely rise to the mid 70s and clouds will continue to develop due to south winds pulling more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico.

On Wednesday, a developing storm system will approach from the west, with decent instability arriving with it. Lows will be near 60° with highs in the lower 70s (mid 70s if rain arrives late). The rain coverage will be around 60% with thunderstorms possible. A chance for strong storms exists as well. More details on this will be available as we approach Wednesday.

As the front clears, cooler air from the north will move in (again, the cool-down will not last long). Lows on Thursday will be in the lower 40s with highs in the mid 60s. Skies will be clear.

Friday will start off even cooler, with lows possibly dropping to the upper 30s. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s with clear skies. Winds will shift to the east, as another storm system approaches.

Saturday's forecast will be different for eastern to western areas. For now, the next approaching rain-maker looks to bring storms to the eastern Big Bend and South-Central Georgia. Less of a rain chance exists west of the Aucilla River. Be sure to keep a close eye on the forecast as this outlook may change. Saturday and Sunday temps are expected to be uniform with lows in the upper 40s and highs in the 70s.
