North Florida and South Georgia have been under the influence of a wet pattern for the past week. Afternoon temperatures will peak in the upper 80s to lower 90s, with a 40% chance of seeing some scattered showers and thunderstorms, pushed onshore from the East coast sea breeze. An area of high pressure situated north of Georgia will cause winds to come from the east. This week will have rain chances each day. On Wednesday and into Thursday, rain chances will lower to 20% as an area of high pressure moves closer to our local region. Those two days will be the best days for outdoor activities. Be advised that since rain chances and cloud cover will decrease those days, afternoon temperatures will be able to climb into the mid 90s. Be sure to stay hydrated! Afternoon temperatures will range in the lower to mid 90s all week, and the 50% to 60% rain chances will return for the weekend.
