TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Another frontal system currently digging into the Deep South will give us elevated rain chances to begin your work week, but on the back end of this system, we'll remain dry for most of the rest of the week. Temps will be muggy again getting near 90° in the afternoon before the rainfall moves in around dinnertime. Temps still remain cool tonight as winds shift once again out of the north and northeast, so expect those temps to fall into the mid 60s. Speaking of fall, that begins tonight as well! The autumnal equinox will begin late tonight and the first full day of fall is Tuesday. We'll start the new season off with seasonable temps; highs only getting into the mid and upper 80s while lows stay comfy cool in the mid 60s. That pattern persists for the entire work week as high pressure builds to the north of the region. There will be a minimal rain threat as well, especially for south central Georgia and the Suwannee River Valley, as we could get a sea breeze to form from the Atlantic coastline and push into our eastern counties. By this weekend, the front that pushed south early in the week will slowly lift northward once again and we could see our rain chances increase once again.
