MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The dry trend we saw last week is now continuing to change into more of a humid trend as east winds will help to pull in more moisture off of the Atlantic. With the daytime heating of Summer still expected to dominate, it will likely be a hot one, feeling even hotter with heat index readings near or above 100 degrees.. Temperatures today are forecast to rise to the low to mid 90s. Rain coverage will be isolated to scattered (30%) today as the moisture rises with the daytime heating. Low temperatures into Tuesday morning are expected to be warm with mid 70s across North Florida and South Georgia.
Tuesday onward, temperatures are still expected to be in the lower 90s but moving into the middle of the week, uncertainties on Tropical Depression Nine's path may change the outlook. A landfall of the system is likely Wednesday night into Thursday night, and rain coverage should jump sharply by then.
