Monday morning started with just a few showers but plenty of clouds; meanwhile temperatures were in the low 60s. We'll have a series of weak disturbances plow through the southeast all week keeping showers and storms in the forecast. The highest chance for rain comes this afternoon as storms pop after lunch. It won't be hours worth of constant rain, you will have breaks but quite a few storms will be going at the same time across the area. Our atmosphere lacks the major ingredients for severe weather so, outside of a few stronger wind gusts and isolated downpours, these storms should be pretty tame. If it isn't storming at your house it'll be mostly cloudy with temperatures climbing close to 80°. Tonight, we get a break in the rain action while we're in between disturbances. If skies break up enough we could be looking at a thick fog issue for Tuesday morning's commute; morning lows Tuesday will be near 60°. We keep a 30-40% rain chance in for isolated to scattered storms Tuesday to Saturday as we work these disturbances or blips through the region. Like today, they won't cause that long lasting sunrise to sunset sheet of non stop rain, instead, they'll be storms that dot the map sporadically each afternoon. Highs will stay consistently in the low 80s with lows on the muggy side of the meter near 60°.
