Heavy rain continues for the morning drive on your Monday. Flooding has been reported on roads across the entire region, remember “Turn around, don’t drown.” The rain will be off and on all day with the heaviest stuff coming in two waves. The first one happens this morning with a gradual tapering through lunch. Another warm front will lift north this afternoon and evening bringing more rain with it and a small threat for a severe storm or two. We do have a low end severe threat through tomorrow morning but flooding is the biggest issue and concern through the daylight hours of Monday. How much rain? Many of us will see another 2-4” today alone with jackpot totals pushing 7”, again, just today. Tonight and Tuesday morning, we get a cold front to slide west to east across the region with a line of strong to severe storms. Anywhere in the line there’s a slight risk of wind, hail, and isolated tornadoes. The front will be east of us by midmorning with clearing happening Tuesday afternoon. Highs Tuesday afternoon will be in the low 70s with colder air coming in waves through the rest of the week. Starting Friday highs will fall into the 50s with lows in the 30s and 20s through the weekend. Meanwhile, after tomorrow, we’re done with rain for the foreseeable future.
Be storm ready and make it a safe Monday!
