Good morning! Today will be a muggy Monday.
This morning temperatures are ranging anywhere from the mid to upper 70s inland...and even 80 degrees along the immediate coastline.
A stationary front draped across the forecast area mixed with the daily sea breeze yields a 40% chance for afternoon storms. There could be a few isolated strong thunderstorms associated with gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.
Another hot day is in store in north FL and south GA with temperatures once again reaching the mid 90s but feeling even hotter when you factor in the humidity. Heat indices will be above 100 degrees in many locations.
Tonight most storms will have fizzled out by 11 pm and lows will fall into the mid-upper 70s.
