MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The first Freeze Warning of the season is here, with lows forecast to be anywhere between 29° -32°. The clear skies provided by high pressure are helping temperatures quickly fall under a cooler than average air mass. The chill will stick with us this afternoon, limiting temperatures below 70° today, even with clear skies and abundant sunshine.
With the air mass still overhead tonight, we can possibly see another Freeze Warning issued. Tuesday afternoon, temperatures are expected to climb back to the lower 70s, climbing even higher towards the mid and upper 70s through Thanksgiving.
By Thanksgiving, showers are possible (though coverage is minimal at less than 20%) as a cold front moves in. A drastic cool down like the one we are experiencing is not expected with this next front.
