Weak ridging across the northern Gulf of Mexico will help keep rain chances limited for today to 30%. We can expect to see some scattered showers and thunderstorms with a high of 93 this afternoon. A surface cold front will move closer to our region Tuesday through Wednesday. This will bump rain and thunderstorm chances up to 50-60%. Some of the storms tomorrow have the potential to be strong to severe with damaging winds and some heavy rain. Rain showers will keep our afternoon highs around 90 degrees or cooler. The deep trough will exit our area Thursday, which will drop our rain chances back down to 20-30%, and let our afternoon highs bounce back to the mid 90’s. As we head into the weekend it looks like we will have partly sunny skies with a 40% chance of showers and highs around 92.
Make it a great Monday!
