MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Warmer temperatures and more humidity is continuing to increase across the local area this morning, and this will continue this week as a cold front stalls to our north, helping to pull more moisture from the Gulf of Mexico into the Big Bend and South Georgia.
Morning temperatures will continue to be warm this morning with numbers in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Some moisture is adding to fog concerns in the AM hours, which will quickly fall out as the sun rises. Expect afternoon highs to be in the mid to upper 70s with 20% coverage of showers. Tuesday is virtually a repeat of Monday.
Wednesday will feature an elevated risk of showers and thunderstorms (50% coverage) as the cold front pushes through our local area. Highs then will be in the mid 70s with lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Cooler air will move in by week's end, with lows approaching 40 degrees and highs expected to drop back to the 60s.
