MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A change from the usual is starting this week, with a more humid and warm setup starting to takeover. And it begins today, with mostly cloudy skies and strong south winds, increasing the moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Highs are forecast to be in the mid to upper 70s with rain coverage sitting around 20%.
Heading into Tuesday morning, more moisture and more cloud cover will grow, as well as the warmth, with highs getting closer to 80 degrees. Rain chances will grow, too, with Tuesday coverage at 30% and Wednesday at 40%.
The storm systems responsible for the increase in rain have slim potential for strong thunderstorms, and heavy rain with gusty winds will be the prominent threat.
By Thursday afternoon, the rain should go away, allowing dry and cool air to move in for Friday and Saturday, with lows in the 40s and highs in the upper 60s.
