TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Another day filled with heat and afternoon storms. A few of the storms could be on the strong to severe side with heavy downpours and high winds being the main concerns. Temps will climb back to the upper 90s, just as we saw on Sunday. Heat index will vary from 104 to 108° making for an uncomfortably hot day. Similar conditions stick with us through midweek though rain chances will creep downward to around 40% through the end of the week. Temps will be in the mid 90s with feels-like temps in the low 100s. By the weekend, a cold front will advance into the region sweeping this oppressive heat dome out of here allowing for temps to become more seasonal for the end of the month in the low 90s. Storm chances will begin to increase again by Saturday and Sunday as well.
